We will be offering modified, touchless weekend services at our Greenwood and Franklin Campuses beginning May 30 and 31. (More information on our Banta and Garfield Park Campus reopening timeline will be shared in the weeks to come).
A modified, touchless weekend service experience will include adjusting seating to ensure six-feet distance between families, propped open doors to limit contact with surfaces, hand sanitizer stations, additional cleaning before and in-between services, and pre-reserved seating.
To limit contact with surfaces, we will not be opening our e-café, distributing handouts, or passing around offering buckets.
We will not be providing masks, but encourage you to bring your own if you feel comfortable doing so.
You will have the opportunity to reserve your seat for these services starting next week through our website.
To maintain government recommended social distancing guidelines, we will not be providing in-person children’s ministry environments. Kids are welcome to join you in-service in any of our environments, with the exception of our Greenwood Campus auditorium, which serves as our broadcast campus and will be available only for those fifth-grade and up.
We will continue to provide weekly children’s ministry content online to help engage your kids with age-appropriate lessons and activities.
If you are not yet comfortable returning to service, or unable to do so, we encourage you to continue engaging with us online, inviting and sharing with your friends and family, staying connected to your small group, and connecting with your campus through our social media, including our campus Facebook groups.
Update from Pastor Danny on Returning to Physical Gatherings – 5/5/2020
Check out this update from Lead Pastor, Danny Anderson, what Emmanuel Church will be doing about reconvening services at our physical locations.
In light of Gov. Holcomb’s revised stay-at-home orders on May 1, we have been praying, communicating with other churches, and reviewing the five-stage plan outlined in Holcomb’s address.
For the next two weeks, Emmanuel will be continuing to stream all services online. In Pastor Danny’s video, he shares the reason behind this decision.
It’s all about our mission – to see people come to Christ and grow in Christ.
We want each of you who are a part of Emmanuel Church to feel comfortable inviting your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and loved ones who have written off church as boring, judgmental, or irrelevant. And we want them to feel comfortable accepting that invitation to one of our physical locations.
We don’t feel like our community is quite there yet.
But we believe they will be soon.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue engaging with us online. Keeping Relentless Pursuing others and inviting them to join us. Continue sharing our social media posts and engaging with your campus communities through our Facebook groups. Continue engaging with our children’s and student content. And continue your generosity and faithful giving online so that we can continue to meet the needs of our community as they arise.
Update - 3/17/2020
As we continue to learn more about the steps taken by our government to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I wanted to share a quick video update and a word of encouragement.
Services will stream on YouTube, Facebook, and through the Emmanuel App:
Saturday, March 21 @ 4pm and 6pm
Sunday, March 22 @ 9am and 11am
In My Feelings: Week 2 – Create Space
Check out last weekend’s message discussing how we create space to process negative emotions as well as a helpful tool called the Prayer of the Examen. You can view our past messages here.
On-Campus Events This Week
All on-campus events are suspended this week, including Night of Worship, on-campus groups, MTO, midweek meetings, and childcare.
We are also encouraging all small groups to not meet in person. Contact your group leader for more details on how your group can continue to meet online.
Children and Students
Our teams are working hard to create content and get that out to our parents to continue engaging our children and students in the weeks ahead. Check out Emmanuel Church – Families Facebook Group to stay up to date on those environments.
Download the Parent Cue app on Google Play or the Apple store. You will find story videos designed for K-3rd grade and the So and So Show for 4th and 5th grade, bringing Bible stories straight into your home.
Giving
Thank you in advance for your continued generosity at Emmanuel. Not only is your giving allowing us to continue meeting the needs ministry through each of our campuses and environments, but also the needs of our community as they arise during this time. ‘
We are currently in talks with schools and local foodbanks on how we can help meet needs in the weeks ahead.
If you haven’ yet shifted your giving to online giving, you can set up a recurring gift here.
Stay in the Word
It’s more crucial now than ever to stay in the Word of God. We are in some distressing times. My hope is that your trust in God will bring peace to your heart and that peace will be a testimony to those around you.
Update - 3/13/2020
We have heard from Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb on the new steps the state government is implementing to protect the further spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), including the limit of non-essential public gatherings to no more than 250 people, including churches like ours.
Because of this, all weekend services at Emmanuel will be online only this weekend.
Services will stream on YouTube, Facebook, and through the Emmanuel App:
Saturday, March 14 @ 4pm and 6pm
Sunday, March 15 @ 9am and 11am
Please read on for more info.
Families and Kiddos
We want to make sure your kiddos don’t miss out on church this weekend.
Download the Parent Cue app on Google Play or the Apple Store. You will find story videos designed for K-3rd grade and the So and So Show for 4th and 5th grade, bringing Bible stories straight into your home.
On-Campus Events Next Week
At this time, we will also be suspending all on-campus events next week including Night of Worship, small groups, MTO, midweek meetings, and childcare. We will continue to evaluate this week to week and update you as the situation unfolds.
Final Word
In closing, it’s vital that we push away a spirit of fear and, instead, cultivate a trust and faith in God. We can do that by focusing our minds and hearts on Who God is. He is our Great Physician. Psalm 46:1-2 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear...”
Our buildings may be closed this weekend, but we’re looking forward to joining all of Emmanuel online. Invite a friend!
