Depending on your family upbringing or religious background, you may have heard different ideas about salvation.
Perhaps you think it's about being a "good person" so that you can go to heaven when you die. Or that it is something you earn by doing good deeds and something you lose when you do bad things.
Maybe, you're not sure what salvation is at all.
What is Salvation?
Jesus did not come to this earth to set up a religion. He came to create friends that He could live in a relationship with forever.
Yes, eternal life includes going to heaven after we die. But that's not where it stops.
Abundant life can be ours right now. It all begins the moment we place our faith in Christ.
God would love to step into a relationship with you. He wants to live every day of your life with you, and He made this possible by sending His Son Jesus.
Our sin keeps us from this relationship with God. A perfect sacrifice is needed to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus laid down His life and was crucified on a cross in our place, all because He loves us.
Jesus says, "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13
It's not about joining a church or a religion. It's about stepping into a relationship with your creator.
If you reach out to Him in faith, you can receive this forgiveness for your sins and become God's child right now.
