Form a Group

Thank you for your consideration in leading a group! Because Group Leaders play such an essential part in helping others grow in Christ, we want you to understand the role.

  • Group Leaders support the spiritual growth of 8-14 individuals by consistently connecting their group members to God's Word and each other for a semester. To maintain a healthy group dynamic that fosters spiritual growth, please prioritize discussion around biblical content, caring for one another's personal needs, and delegating responsibility.
  • Group leaders have spiritual warmth, which is a commitment to grow spiritually. They prioritize their personal spiritual disciplines.
  • Group leaders have social warmth, which means they are self-aware, genuinely care about the well-being of others, and a desire to connect with God's people.
  • As a group leader, you have influence. Please be aware of the potential impact associated with your social media usage, sexual behavior, financial stewardship, and the dangers of substance abuse. Please strive to align your behavior with the values presented by Emmanuel Church.
  • To best help others grow in Christ, we ask that you invest in the development of your personal leadership. By prioritizing an ongoing partnership with an Emmanuel Groups Director, we hope to support you with leadership training and resources as you help others grow spiritually.
