Summary of Role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, and implementation of Media & Marketing projects, events, and other initiatives of Emmanuel Church. They will work in tandem with Media & Marketing Staff and the staff of other departments and/or campuses to help develop content, support ministry solutions, and accomplish the church’s mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans (Video, Graphic, Event, etc.), timelines, and budgets
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure project deliverables meet objectives and quality standards
  • Monitor project progress and identify any potential risks or issues, proactively addressing them to keep projects on track
  • Assist in the development and updating of the church website content, app, social media, and other digital assets
  • Assist with planning for the all-church calendar
  • Assist in the development of processes that enable effective communication flow throughout the church (emails, texts, push notifications)
  • Assist in managing the creation and execution of all materials created by the Media and Marketing Team
  • Assist with ordering material and promotional supplies for Media & Marketing and other departments
  • Other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, graphic arts, video, website development and/or creative arts
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a media or marketing environment

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner; self-motivated
  • Proven skill with digital media
  • Demonstrate ability to track expenses and stay within budget
  • Demonstrate the ability to appropriately respond to content evaluation in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining quality
  • Ability to learn and use Emmanuel’s systems (Rock, Planning Center, etc.) and learn and adapt to new technology
  • Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion when handling personal and ministry information
  • Demonstrate a servant heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to changes in direction or priority quickly

  • Agreement to abide by Emmanuel Church’s Expectations of a Staff Member which include:

o   Financial support of the church with your tithe

o   Attend one weekend service each week and monthly staff meetings

o   Participate in community through small group

o   Prioritize a Sabbath (one 24-hour period off work each week)
