Leader Bio: Gregg and Ben are a father-son duo who enjoy BBQ, but they are by no means experts. They look forward to sharing their favorite spots with you!

This group for adults will meet on Wednesdays at the Boys & Girls Club of Seymour and is led by Zack Ayers!

Leader Bio: Zack & Margaret moved to Seymour from NC. He is a Project Manager for a digital agency but his real passion is basketball! He also loves grilling out and dog walking!

Description: This is an online group that will meet every other week starting Sunday June 5th at 6 pm. Our first book will be "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom which is the inspiring true story of Corrie Ten Boom and her family and about God's presence in the darkest times in their lives.

Leader Bio: Sue lives with a pack of dogs (3 miniature schnauzers), I enjoy training my dogs in obedience and tricks, and attend training classes with them. I like to read and talk about books and Bible study.

Description: Sit back, relax, and drink a hot (or cold) cup of Joe. The coffee shop group will be meeting at Kay's Cafe in Brownstown each week. Kay's has a special space for groups to gather and a menu full of a variety of tasty drinks and scrumptious food. Join Tammy Vehslage as she leads this laid back bunch!

Disc Golf - Greenwood

Schedule: Saturday at 10:30 AM

Description: This group is for those of you who enjoy slinging the disc! It doesn't matter if you're good, bad, or never played before. Come out and join us! You will need to provide your own disc. We will help you out, get outside, and have fun! We will meet up on Saturday's from 10am-12:30pm. We will travel to local courses in Greenwood, Whiteland & Franklin. Locations will be set weekly.

Dog Park - Greenwood

Description: This group is designed for fur parents that want to mingle with others and create a fun community for their dogs at local dog parks. The group will be visiting dog parks located in Greenwood. Passes and immunizations are required. Passes can be purchased at the Greenwood Community Center. Locations will be set weekly.

Dudes and Donuts - Franklin

Description: If you are a dude and you love donuts, then this is the group for you! This group will meet every Thursday morning at 7am before work to eat donuts together and study a book of the Bible.

Leader Bio: Nate Tripp is the Family Pastor at the Franklin Campus. Nate is married to his high school sweetheart and has to kids, one boy and one girl. He is also currently working on his masters.

Euchre Group - GP

Description: A euchre game night ♠️♣️♥️♦️ will happen each Wednesday evening at the Emmanuel Church Garfield Park Campus. Euchre is a card game played with the highest 32 cards, in which each player is dealt 5 cards and the player making the trump is required to take at least 3 tricks to win. This group is open to pros and novices or even if you want to learn the game of euchre. Bring a friend or find one that night.

Family Fire Pit Night - Franklin

Description: If you like family time, this Tuesday night group is for you. The group has room for 8 adults and any kids that come with the adults. It will be a group that gathers as families around the fire pit and do a pitch-in for dinner. Bring your own chair!

Fishing-Seymour Campus

Description: Our group is for all ages and skill levels. The bank of a pond is the best place to relax, unwind, and learn to be patient. We look to provide a place for friends to become family through the act of fishing. No gear? No Problem, we have plenty enough to share. The primary meeting spot will take place at the Hiten's pond (902 W. ST. RD 258 Seymour, In). The group is led by Steve Dahlquist and Dusty Hiten.

Leader Bio: Steve & Dusty are tag-teaming this group! Steve is an experienced bass fisherman & bass club president. Dusty enjoys fishing with his wife & little ones at their family pond!

Fun in Franklin - Franklin

Description: Let’s explore and enjoy the fun in Franklin together! This town has the charm and inviting feel of a hometown in a Hallmark movie! Each week, for 8 weeks, we will enjoy one of the following: walking some of the paths, thrifting/antiquing, farmers market, seeing a movie at the historic Artcraft theater, and dining at one of the local favorites. So, put on your sunglasses and walking shoes, bring a water and let’s go have fun in Franklin! Note: Group will meet primarily on Tuesday evenings with the exception of the Farmers market and a movie at the Artcraft Theater. Activity and locations will be set weekly.

Stephanie is open to your wants and needs in the area of gardening! Possible topics of discussion include indoor plants, outdoor plants, landscaping, soil, fertilizer, herbicide/pesticide, composting & propagating.

Leader Bio: Steph obtained a Master Gardner certification in 2020. She considers herself an advanced beginner who is always learning and growing in her faith and with her plants!

Hiking AM - Greenwood

Schedule: Monday at 9:00 AM

Description: Cheri and Shelby are co-leading this walking/hiking group! All locations will be within a 30min radius of Greenwood. Walks will be every Monday at 9am. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed and able to walk calmly in a group. Some trails may be paved while others may be hilly/dirt terrain. locations will be set weekly.

Leader Bio: Cheri works at a local spa and Shelby owns a small pet care business. Both love being outdoors and staying active.

Hiking-Greenwood

Description: In this group, we will be exploring the trails of Central Indiana! Location will be set the week of. Adults of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Kids are welcome as long as accompanied by an adult.

Leader Bio: Robin Hinton's parents, Bob & Charm Carver, ran Camp Allendale for 27 years, so Robin grew up in the wilderness. We will definitely be exploring the Camp trails as well as others.

Hiking-Seymour Campus

Schedule: Saturday at 8:00 AM

Description: Join the hiking affinity group to enjoy the beautiful views of southern Indiana and connect with our growing Emmanuel Church family! Our group will briskly hike anywhere from 3-5 miles each week at the Jackson-Washington State Forest, Clifty Falls, or Brown County State Park. The hiking group will meet on Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. The meeting time can be adjusted and discussed among our group. The group is led by Kelly Franklin.

Leader Bio: Kelly is married to Chris and mom to Kayd, Claire, and Kam. 3 marathons and 8 half marathons are under her belt & she loves trail running, hiking, anything fitness!

Description: This group is for those of you who love to cook and try new recipes! The group will meet weekly and prepare dishes from around the world. Country will change from week to week. As a member of this group, you will be responsible to make either a main dish, appetizer, side, or desert weekly.

Leader Bio: Jon is an Automation Project Manager and Joan is a Corporate Project Manager. They love spending time with their two kids, Lyra and Noah. Together they enjoy board games, sports, and travel.

Intro to Martial Arts/Self Defense - Greenwood

Schedule: Friday at 6:30 PM

Description: Interested in learning something new this summer? How about Martial Arts! Noah and Skye are a father-daughter duo that are passionate about just that. They own and operate Greenwood Christian Martial Arts. This group will meet on Friday evenings at 6:30-7:30. You will meet for a total of 7 sessions over the course of the summer. The cost is $10 per session or $60 for all 7. You will learn the basics of Martial arts proper punching, kicking, and self-defense in a controlled environment.

Leader Bio: Noah is a level 8 commando and Krav Maga intructor/ 4th degree TKD. Skye has a 3rd degree in TKD and multiple world and national champion. She is a level 3 instructor.

Leadership - Banta Campus

Description: This group will focus on helping people become better leaders by helping them achieve their desired result. You will be motivated and inspired to build your confidence in being the leader that you were created to be. This is a co-ed group.

Leader Bio: Aaron is our Emmanuel Church Banta Campus Pastor! He enjoys POP collecting, sports, and his children.

Motorcycles - Greenwood

Schedule: Saturday at 5:30 PM

Description: This group is for those of you who love to ride motorcycles! The group will meet every Saturday at 5:30pm in the Greenwood campus parking lot. The group will ride for approx. 45 minutes followed up by dinner. After dinner Bri and Scotty may give riders the option to cruise over to Suds in Greenwood between 8-9pm. Ride routes will be determined the week of and group day and time may be subject to change depending on weather.

Leader Bio: Scotty and Bri love Summertime, riding motorcycles, patio dining, and live music! We look forward to connecting with others who share the same passions!

Motorcycling-Seymour Campus

Description: Vroom Vroom!! Ready for the ride of your life?! This group will be riding and meet to talk about their motorcycles. Yes, this group doubles as a support group for motorcyclists. Join leader, Brandon Carter, on Thursdays from 6-8 as they take off from Cumming's Lighthouse!

Leader Bio: Brandon is married with 2 kids. He's a soil tester for the State & runs a business in town with his wife. He rides a 1991 Yamah Vmax & a duel sport Suzuki DR350S.

Park & Play (AM)- Franklin

Leader Bio: Glenn, commonly known as Doc, is a veterinarian in Seymour. He has 3 children who he loves to spend time with. He also loves biking, grilling, cheering on Purdue, and of course, playing pickle-ball!

Description: If pizza is your pie of choice, this is the group for you! The group will meet at various pizza spots every Tuesday. Andrew enjoys trying new pizza and will be taking you to some of his favorite spots!

Description: This group is for High School students and young adults who love thrifting and vintage shopping. We will meet the first and Third Friday's of every month from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Each time we meet we will carpool and pick a few thrift stores for that days trip and some food to eat.

Tennis Group - GP

Description: This group will meet weekly for a round of tennis. 🎾 This will be a great opportunity to practice your skills and show them off! Once the group is formed, exact locations to play each week will be decided as a group.

Veterans - Greenwood

Schedule: Sunday at 2:30 PM

Description: Nicole and Gary are passionate about connecting veterans and their spouses to build fellowship and community with the vision of Emmanuel Church. This group will meet for lunch on Sundays at 2:30. Location will be decided weekly.

Leader Bio: Gary is an Air Force veteran and is on staff at Emmanuel. Nicole is a Marine Corps veteran.

Volleyball - Greenwood

Schedule: Tuesday at 6:00 PM

Description: If you want to have fun playing pick-up volleyball, this is the group for you! This recreational group will meet weekly on Tuesday evening at either the Greenwood Community Center via open play or on the outdoor court located at Craig Park 1 in Greenwood. Open play at the Community Center is $6. Once the group is formed we can discuss any other options for playing opportunities.

Leader Bio: Derek loves getting exercise via sports and connecting with others to have fun along the way. He is married to his wife Lindsay and has 4 kiddos.

Volleyball-Seymour Campus

Description: Volleyball: It's just an intense version of "don't let the balloon touch the floor!" This competitive group will be volleying it up each week at Gaiser park! Join Keia Blair on Monday evenings and bring a friend!

Leader Bio: Keia loves volleyball and seeing people connect with God through sports! She's a mama to an 8 month old little girl, Leilani! They love thrift shopping, yard sales, plants, and ice cream!

Walking - Banta

Schedule: Wednesday at 6:00 PM

Description: This walking group will meet at our Banta campus on Wednesday evenings at 6pm. Walks will take place on the trail that neighbors the Banta campus, and will be approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Walks are open to all who register to attend. We are open to discuss other walking trails to visit during our 8 weeks of time together!

Leader Bio: Cathy is the wife to Charlie, mom to Olivia (18) & Zach (8). They have attended Emmanuel for 6 years. Walking is her most favorite form of exercise. It's good for the body and the soul.

Walking - Franklin

Description: If you love local parks, sunshine, fellowship, and walking, then this is the group for you. Whether you are single, married with young children, or a teenager, you can come join this group for walking and talking about life.

Leader Bio: Hailey Newman lives in Franklin and loves warm weather and sunshine. She enjoys getting to talk with people and she is often seen greeting at the auditorium doors at the Franklin Campus.

Walking/Running-Seymour Campus

Description: This Affinity Group will be walking/running together each Saturday morning from 9-10 am starting at Seymour High School. There will be a group of walkers and a group of runners each week led by Jess Ritz!

Leader Bio: Jess is married to Dave & has 3 beautiful daughters. By day she's our Seymour Campus Ministry Director but by night (& days off) she loves working out, checking out new restaurants, & trivia nights!
