Assistant to the Greenwood Campus Pastor

Part-Time (20 hours per week, some weekends required)

Reports to: Greenwood Campus Pastor


Summary of Position

This position provides administrative and organizational support to the Greenwood Campus Pastor. The following summary of responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive; other administrative and support duties may be assigned.


Summary of Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary contact for the Campus Pastor including monitoring voicemail, returning calls and responding to/managing emails as directed
  • Oversee the pastor’s calendar, schedule meetings and anticipate conflicts in work and personal commitments
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, managing and providing support for campus team meetings and campus and church-wide events 
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with members of the Greenwood Campus team
  • Assist in overall communication from Campus Pastor’s office to all staff in a professional manner
  • Attend and take minutes at all assigned meetings 
  • Serve as connection between, or in lieu of when necessary, the Campus Pastor and other staff leaders on projects or other leadership issues
  • Anticipate the needs of the Campus Pastor through consistent evaluation of the schedule and priority projects/weekly tasks of the office, in an effort to lighten their overall load
  • Assist the Campus Pastor by assuring office is organized and supplied as needed
  • Foster and champion a healthy staff culture by adhering to Emmanuel staff values and through a growing personal relationship with Christ


Job Skills and Requirements 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with scheduling and office software and technology
