Executive Assistant
 to the Executive Pastor of Families and Multisites

Job Description 

Full-Time (40 hours per week, weekends required)

Reports to: Executive Pastor of Families and Multisites

Summary of Position

This position provides administrative and organizational support to Executive Director of Families and Multisites. The following summary of responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive and will include other administrative and support duties as assigned.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for the Executive Director including checking voicemail, returning calls, and responding to emails as directed

• Maintain the Executive Director’s calendar, schedule meetings, conferences, retreats, personal and family needs

• Prepare materials for staff meetings and prepare agendas for all weekly meetings

• Maintain the Executive Director’s office; keep office organized and anticipate needs

• Attend and take minutes at all assigned meetings

• Attend all speaking engagements for Executive Director to provide support as needed

• Anticipate the needs of the Executive Director through consistent evaluation of the day 

• Provide bridge between Executive Director and other staff leaders

• Champion the vision of the Executive Director and Lead Pastor in all environments

• Conserve time for the Executive Director by reading, researching and routing correspondence, drafting letters and documents, and collecting and analyzing information

• Foster and champion a healthy staff culture by adhering to Emmanuel staff values and through a growing personal relationship with Christ

Job Skills and Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and organizational skills

• Familiarity with scheduling and office software

• Self-motivated and flexible in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment

• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality as appropriate

• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment that can often feel stressful

• Strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence
