Description: Being a mom can be tough but we don't have to do it alone. This group is a safe and loving place for those struggling with postpartum depression. Together we will explore the book, "Risen Motherhood" and learn how the gospel applies to our daily lives as moms. Join group leader, Kelly, for encouragement and community to grow through the journey of PPD. The books guides participants through God’s plan for motherhood and speaks truth into God’s purpose for each story. God has a purpose and calling in motherhood even for those who struggle.

Description: This ONLINE group is for foster parents to discuss the difficult challenges of foster care. The group plans to discuss topics based on fear such as... judgement, harming your biological children, accusations, not being enough to facilitate healing, as well as topics like stress, power struggles, and trauma. The Bible has something to say about all of these, and it is helpful to know that you are not the only one with those thoughts! Parenting with Mental Health in Mind

Description: Do you have a child that experiences mental health challenges? This might be the group for you. This group meets at the Greenwood campus will begin in September. The likelihood that your kid or teenager—or someone you know—may suffer from a mental health challenge one day is high. In fact, one in five kids suffer from an anxiety disorder. Anxiety is on the rise among kids, and so are depression, self-harm, and so many other mental and emotional health challenges. But there’s hope: Research shows one of the best predictors of a kid’s success in life is having at least one consistent, supportive, and caring adult in their lives—and that’s you. The Parenting with Mental Health in Mind: A Parent's Guide for Every Kid course will help you learn the psychology of what’s going on in your kid’s brain and science-based, practical tools to help your kid navigate a mental health challenge. Upon completion of the course, you’ll feel empowered and equipped to meet your kid’s mental health challenges head-on and support them in the way they need most.

Leader Bio: This group is led by Steve Dahlquist. Steve is a hospice chaplain from Seymour who is seasoned in leading grief share groups.

Surrendering the Secret

Schedule: Tuesday at 6:00 PM

Description: Many women hide the secret of abortion deep in their hearts and they are suffering severe consequences. They carry a great burden of shame and failure, afraid to reveal their hidden pain, and by doing so are forced to endure the long-lasting effects in isolation. Surrendering the Secret will allow women to release this burden and find freedom through 'redemptive community' while experiencing hope and joy, as shame and failure are replaced with beauty. This group runs 9 weeks and will begin meeting on Tuesday, September 13th.

Leader Bio: Mandy is a proud wife to John and mom to 3 kids. Her heart's desire is to see other women set free by God from the guilt and shame of abortion. Join me on a journey you will never regret 💜

You will find support and hope from other group members and find our space to be a safe confidential way to discuss the fear, hurt, and pain associated with a cancer diagnosis and caring for our loved ones. Our goal is that you will find strength and support through this ministry of hope, courage and compassion.

Leader Bio: Tim and Brenda Toborg are Seymour natives. Tim is a police officer and is loved by the community! He is a wise and skilled teacher of the Bible and is excited to lead this small group!
