Leader Bio: Tia is a mother a toddler, Sloan (2), a preschooler, Finn (4) and Teagan (6) who is in elementary school. Tia has been married to her husband, Robert for 8 years!! They have been attending Emmanuel for 7 years, they started at the Greenwood campus went to the Banta campus for a few years when they lived a few miles away and are now back at the Greenwood campus. Tia has recently started staying home but in the past was a Nurse practitioner in the PICU at Riley and ER for 10 years. She enjoys traveling, cooking and trying new things in her free time. The first few years as a parent, she killed herself trying to be a perfect wife, mother, friend, etc. but then realized that she was holding herself to an impossible standard. So now, she just does her best to love God and love others and more than half the time she feels like she is failing at one or both but everyday she tried to do a little better than the day before. Tia wants the moms in her group to know they are not alone. Being a mom is by far the hardest job that she has ever had and she is here to support them however they need her to by recommending a book/Bible study, providing accountability, encouragement or simply just planning a girls night.
Geanne has been married to her husband, Vincent for 42 years!!! She is a mother to four adult children and has 10 grandchildren. Geanne is retired but is an Interior Designer and still helps people. She enjoys pickle ball, playing games, designing homes and building furniture. Geanne would like to share that as a mother of 4 children you have to give up control over your children to God. You just have to rely on God and play your children in His hands, no matter what they go through, and that you are not a terrible mother when your kids go the opposite way of your Christian faith. She would like to share with the moms at her table that as you go through life trials, the only way to make it is through Gods strength and not your own.
